Two Fab things I Just Gotta Share.......

My Precious Lord is Amazing. Wanna know why (or at least one of the countless reasons anyway). God is always answering my prayers. One thing that I pray for regularly is for Him to always lead me, guide me, and show me ways to be a good steward with what we have, and show me ways to do things. WELL.......Jesus has done it yet again. He brought me to some new information and new items, that help me care for my home and hubby, and stretch our hard earned dollars. Thank you Lord!

I have two new and fabulous things that I just gotta share with every one. Now I know I might be a little behind the times occasionally, but when I get it....brother do I get it!

I want to talk about:
Micro-fiber cloth's and Organic and homemade powdered cleanser (for the house...not your face silly. LOL)

Ok, so cleaning is a thing that I have (almost) always liked to do. As I got older I kinda fell in love with cleaning (kind of a given since I am OCD), anyways, just this week I have been trying some thing new (to me that is). I am always on the hunt for a way to "WORK SMARTER" and not harder, and combine that with being frugal (even cheap which I do love. Saving money "ROCKS"). Well I have had three of those micro-fiber cleaning cloth's here that I have used some, but never really given the real test and trial

Well.....MY TEST RESULTS ARE IN

I LOVE THESE THINGS...YAY ME !!!!

I have a green one that I have given a test run in the kitchen. A blue one that I have tested on nearly every window and mirror in the whole house. And a pink one that is a wee bit softer, so I used that one on my furniture.

WOW-WEE!!!! I am in love all over again..........with cleaning. LOL (My hubby has been laughing at me cause I really do love cleaning, but now I'm in cleaning heaven. LOL).

**I decided to test the green micro-fiber cloth in my kitchen. I used one of my homemade, organic, non-toxic, "naturally disinfecting, cheap and frugal all purpose spray solutions (recipe will be at bottom of this post), with my green micro cloth. I sprayed the counters, sinks, walls, outside of frig, cabinet fronts and doors, back door (that leads to outside that is) inside and out, light fixture's, vent hood, stove, so on and so on. I used this thing......everywhere. Now I know that I keep a clean kitchen, and I keep up with it regularly (daily with some tasks, weekly with all the others), and usual my cleaning rags and rinse water will show mild dirt and grease residue. BUT, this time I thought I would gag, no seriously, I got kinda sick at my stomach nearly every time I looked at the cloth and after I rinsed it out in the rinse water. EEEEEWWWWW! That's all I gotta say. These things......really.....do......work! Who'da thunk'it? So the green one is now my permanent kitchen micro cloth, and I WILL, be getting one or two more as extras. I am totally amazed.

**Now for the Blue micro-fiber cloth. I decided since it was blue and most (store bought...but not my homemade version) window cleaners are blue, well it just seemed to fit for me. I am, after all an extremely visual learner/person. I had heard that you could clean your windows, mirror's and etc with only water and a micro-fiber cloth? Well I decided to give it the "old school try".

OH MY GOSH!!!!! Now you have to understand something else about me.......I HATE...HATE...HATE for my windows to be dirty, smudgy, spotty, streaky, or anything else (either via cats noses, kid's fingers, or bugs that go bump in the night, LOL). I am always cleaning my windows inside and out ALL the time. Windows are like the eyes of a house, so who wants cataracts on a house (LOL).....know what I mean.....cloudy and hard to see through, LOL, that's just the way I feel.

Ladies...you gotta get one of these cloth's (or three or four, LOL) and a spray bottle with NOTHING but water in it. That's it! Very lightly (and I'm not kidding here. You only need a tiny mist of water) mist the window/mirror/glass table in question that you want to clean. Then grab your micro-fiber cloth and wipe away. Make sure you turn it over to a dry side and finish the window with a dry buff swipe or two. AMAZING... you will see the absolute cleanest window EVER. No streaks, no residue, no spots...no nothing!

I have an antique mirror with a gilded frame, that my grandfather hand carved and hand made (in a Victorian style) that has FOR EVER AND ALWAYS had streaks on the front, that I have never been able to get rid of. Well ladies...no longer does that mirror have ANYTHING !!!! on it, but the clearest reflection I have ever seen. WOW! And what came off that mirror grossed me out, cause I clean that thing weekly.

My large picture window in the living room, had just been cleaned last Wednesday morning. I wasn't expecting to actually find anything on the rag, especially since I couldn't see anything on the window. OOOPPPSSSS, was I wrong. Again I was grossed out, and Bob was absolutely amazed. He looked at me after I showed him the micro cloth, and made the funniest face and said "Really...all that was on the window? But it didn't even look dirty. Didn't you just clean that whole window a few days ago?" "Yup" I said. He told me to get more of those cloth's and grinned.
**Now for the pink micro cloth. I decided since this one that I had was the softest, I would use this one on the furniture. I filled a very small spray bottle with water and about 20 drops of Lavender Essential Oil, shook and mixed well, then lightly sprayed the pink cloth with this and proceeded to go all through my home cleaning and dusting my furniture. AMAZING !!!!!!

My furniture is probably cleaner and shinier than ever, and with little to no effort, no buffing over and over, and it smells fabulous to boot. The dust and stuff that came off was again a wee bit shocking, especially since I dust and polish regularly. Ladies you just gotta try these things.

I am officially hooked!!! I'm gonna get a few more so that I will have plenty.

Just thought I would share.

Now.....for my other amazing discovery! (Oh am I a happy gal).

Simple, organic, non-toxic, safe for the septic system, all purpose, powder cleanser. I came across this recipe online, and just thought...."give it a try, this might work". Oh boy does this work and smell fab all at the same time. I have been using this one now for about two weeks, and I just love it.!!!
Here is all you need:

One pint size canning jar with ring and lid, or even a Parmesan cheese shaker is great.

Baking soda:
Fill jar 3/4ths full.

Organic Rosemary Essential Oil:
10 drops directly into baking soda that is in the jar.

Organic Tea Tree Essential Oil:
10 drops directly into baking soda that is in the jar.

Once all the ingredients are in the jar, take a fork and mix, mash, and combine till all "lumps" from the oils are gone and mixed well. Tightly put on the lid and shake...shake...shake (shake your booty while your at it. LOL) this will make sure it is completely mixed. Now take a nail and a hammer, and put several holes into the top of the lid. Now you have your very own homemade cleansing powder and shaker.

Now get to cleaning your bath tub's/showers, toilets, sinks, faucets (which will sparkle like never before by the way...I promise), counter tops, or anything else you can think of. You can take a damp cloth and sprinkle some of this onto the cloth and use it on door frames, door handles (kids and hubbies seem to always leave a little something to remember them by, LOL, don't they. GRIN), doors, frig handles, etc. Let your imagination run free with this one. Everything will be so clean, shinny, and disinfected (Organically and naturally, not artificially, or dangerously either), and this is **ooober cheap** and frugal to boot. YAY ME!! Another happy thought!

Imagine, a safe, non-toxic, frugally cleaned home. AAAHHH! I love it.!

Here is the recipe for the organic disinfecting all purpose spray cleaner;
1-clean and empty spray bottle
10-drops each of Tea-Tree, Lavender Essential Oils.
5-drops Rosemary Essential Oil
10-drops of Cinnamon Leaf Essential Oil
1-tsp Organic dish liquid OR Dr. Bonner's Pure Castile Soap (lavender),
(I use the lavender castile soap)
water

Add all of the essential oils to spray bottle first, then add dish soap/castile soap, swirl around in bottle gently. Then slowly, add the water till the bottle is nearly full. Put on spray lid, swirl and roll back and forth to mix gently and completely.

I use this ALL the time for daily disinfecting (especially when some one is sick), and quick clean-ups around the house. It does have a light and pleasant smell, your whole house will smell fresh.

FYI- this is a GREAT mixture to use when cleaning the inside and outside of your heat and air vents. This will help eliminate germs, mildew, other allergens as well. Just something to think about!

Well I must get back to cleaning my home, and then I have errands to run later today.

I am so Thankful to my Precious Lord for.........feeling so GOOD today. Thank You Lord.!!!

I am also Thankful for all the wondrous bits of information and knowledge that He leads me to.

Love & Prayers,

Ronda

Have A Peachy Keen Day.

I am.!!
