A New Day?

First things first for today.

My Giving Thanks Challenge
#5. I am Thankful God is still in control of all things!

The picture above is one I took last night after me and my hubby had finished voting. I thought it was such a peaceful and lovely sunset. Soft shades of pink and orange, flowing gently into shades of grey. The air was cool and calm, and everything seemed to be at peace in the world.
When I awoke this morning to hear the news concerning the presidential elections, who won and who lost, I was admittedly disappointed. Yet, as a born again, saved Christian I do not live in fear, nor will I start now. God is still in control of all things! My sweet Lord is by my side! God is still on His Throne! And I will pray...pray...pray, more fervently than ever before, especially for our government. God's word tells us that we are to pray for those in authority over us, and for our leaders. So...this is what I will do. I still believe that Mr. Obama was/is the wrong choice for our nation, yet *the majority* of the people have made their choice known. So I will pray! I will still pray for religious freedom and religious liberties. I will pray for the innocent, the unborn, the sick, the elderly, and so on. I will continue to pray for so many, many things for our nation, my state, my county, my family, my church, my home, and so on. My faith in God my Father, Jesus Christ my Savior, and The Holy Spirit my comforter, will only grow stronger.
I am ever so thankful God is still in control!!!

As I was reading my Bible early this morning, God brought this scripture to my attention. I do not remember having ever read this one before, but God used this scripture to comfort me. He is aware and in control of this country according to his will and His plans. We are not always meant to understand, but to just have faith in Him and to believe. God is watching over it all. For what ever reason, this scriputre did give me even more assurance that my God is ever watchful.
Deu 11:12
A land which the LORD thy God careth for: the eyes of the LORD thy God [are] always upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year.

As my sweet hubby and I were on our way home, along with the above beautiful picture, I was blessed to snap a few shots of the lovely sunset from many places along the way. I also saw such beautiful trees, leaves, showing off their beauty and slendor. All of God's creation seemed to turn out so that they could show off God's lovely handiwork. It matters not, ultimately, what is gong on in the world all around us. If one should have any fear or uncertainty, doubt, or sense of loss, all anyone needs to do is to stop, take a deep breath, and just look around you. Look for all of God's blessings, miracles, handiwork, and provission. Would you like to see what God blessed me with lastnight?

When I pulled into my driveway it was still light enough to be blessed enough to snap a few more shots of the Burning bushes that grow around our yard, and some of the other lovely trees that have reached their beautiful colorful peak. Just more of God's handiwork. How lively and lovley it is.

I just love the way the sun was shining through the yellow leaves.

And one cute snap shot of my cute hubby just grinning.

Remember our Loving God is still in control. Go find some of His Beauty in your life, and in your corner of the world, and then just pray.

Have A Peachy Keen Day.Pin It
