Remember when you were a child and ....

This post today is funny if you listen to my first song that is playing. LOL. I never thought about the song "Cockeyed Optimist". as being the first song that is played, in reguards to my post today. How funny it that. LOL.
Remember when you were a child and you would lay outside on the grass looking up at the sky. Gazing at the clouds, looking for familiar shapes. Amazed at how pretty and fluffy they were.
I have never stopped looking at the clouds. I have never stopped being amazed at their shapes, colors, textures, and beauty. My family thinks that I am a little nuts. I go on vacation to Florida, and what was the content of most of the pictures that I took. Birds, lizards, squirrels, cloud formations & their colors, grass growing up through tons of tiny ocean beaten sea shells on a beach, sea shore beaches, etc. I was on the boat when I was blessed enough to take these shots of the clouds. The way the sun dances from on-top to shining from underneath the clouds is amazing. The look of the clouds in the distance when a rain storm is brewing just over the ocean. Which by the way is weird, yet so pretty. The very top of the cloud formation is s white and fluffy as a cotton ball. It gets larger and larger, then all of a sudden the top starts to almost fan out like the feathers of a fan dancer. Then half way down the cloud formation gets a dark gray, and then the bottom 1/3rd is even darker and you can see the rain just pouring out from the bottom. I think it's beautiful. I had never seen anything like it here where I live. Here is a few pictures of one of those very rain clouds over St.Petersburg Fl. as I was in the Tampa Bay on the boat. It's really hard to see the outline of St. Petersburg, but that is it at the very bottom of the rain cloud. How lovely.
To me these simple things are most lovely.

This is a closer shot of the storm just over St. Petersburg. If you look close you can see the outline of some of the taller buildings on the right of the photo.

I just love the way it starts out so white and fluffy like cotton on top, and the colors fade into shades of yellow, orange, and gray. Then it fades into all the other clouds hovering over the main land, like a blanket.

I absolutely adore how the bright sunlight is on top of the clouds, and it looks like it's resting on a blanket of gray and pink.

I think this will be the last picture of the clouds I will make you look at today. But I must say, it's probably my most favorite. It was getting even closer to sunset when I looked way up to my right, and saw this lovely shot. Layers of clouds, with layers of colors. One dancing in front of the other, yet so easy to see the lines between them all. The blue evening sky so clear in the distance behind them all, yet getting darker by the second. Colors of white, gray, and little snips of pink here and there. It reminded me of a painting I had seen years ago. It was a depiction of Heaven, as you ascend up through the clouds towards Our Heavenly Father. My picture is nothing as lovely as the painting I remember, yet it brought my mind back to my sweet Lord.

Sometimes all we need to do is to STOP, & LOOK TOWARDS HEAVEN. Whether we are looking at the clouds or beyond them towards God. Both are beautiful and comforting.
I think this will be what stays in my mind today. If I feel bad, tired, or discouraged at times, all I need to do is to look towards Heaven. I know my sweet Lord is always near me.

Have A Peachy Keen Day. Look at the clouds sometime. They are lovely.Pin It
